  1. Lakadong Turmeric:

   Originating from Lakadong village in Meghalaya, this variant is celebrated as one of the world’s best due to its exceptionally high curcumin levels, ranging from 7% to 12%. Curcumin, renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, makes Lakadong turmeric highly sought after. 

  1. Alleppey Turmeric:

   Sourced from the picturesque village of Alleppey in Kerala, this turmeric variety contains around 5% curcumin. It is widely utilized in crafting home remedies and Ayurvedic formulations. 

  1. Erode Turmeric:

   Marching its way into prominence, Erode turmeric secured its GI Tag in March 2019. Originating from Erode, a city in Tamil Nadu, this turmeric type typically contains 3% to 4% curcumin, distinguishing it for its geographical and qualitative uniqueness. 

  1. Nizamabad Turmeric:

   Hailing from Telangana’s Nizamabad, this turmeric variety exhibits a characteristic yellow color and contains an average curcumin content ranging from 2% to 4%.
